LD's Guide to Japan

Well, the outing to see Ponyo did not go as planned, but it was still a successful evening in that it took my mind off shit.  I waited in an insanely long line to try and get in to see the movie, and the theater capacity was reached at, seriously, two people in front of me in line.  That was frustrating, but to make up for it they gave us free passes to see any other movie at the theater, and we still got free popcorn and soda, so I ended up going to see Role Models for the second time (there wasn’t really anything else I wanted to see, and it was showing at the right time).  It’s a really funny, and heartwarming movie.  Paul Rudd and Sean William Scott make a pretty good team.

I just couldn’t believe that the people behind me brought their toddler to the movie.  Luckily, they were pretty considerate and quickly took the kid outside when she started to make noise, but she shouldn’t have even been there in the first place.  What the hell kind of parent takes their kid to an R-rated movie at 7:50 pm?  Shit like that just irks me so much.  But anyways, I was able to enjoy the movie and that’s the important part.

On the way home I blasted Country Grammar and that let off a lot of steam.  Being in high school in St. Louis when that album came out was the shit.  Hardly a day went by when you didn’t hear Nelly on the radio or the stereo of a passing car.  Fo’ real.

Sing it loud (what) I’m from the Loop and I’m proud!
