End Break
It’s been a helluva half week, right? ”I Am Legend” dominated the box office over the weekend, bringing in over $76 million and beating out “The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King” for the largest ever December opening. The 7-minute ‘preface’ to “The Dark Knight,” shown before IMAX screenings of “Legend,” wowed audiences (myself included). While the WGA strike is hitting television hard, it’s turning out to be a great time for movies.
As for myself, I am giddy with anticipation of the St. Louis opening of “Juno” this Friday (I will be going on Friday for sure, and anyone who wants to join me is welcome to). Soon after that comes “Sweeney Todd,” then “There Will Be Blood,” and in January “Cloverfield.” Life doesn’t get much better than this.
Due to the intense amount of work I recently had, I’ve fallen behind on my video-making, but I intend to make it up by doing two this week: one (hopefully) later today, and one on Saturday. I also have a new digital camcorder that I’m dying to try out so I’ll try and figure out something neat I can use that for.
Now I am retiring for the evening, but there will be more to come later today. Cheers!
