A Call For Music
Hi everybody. Thanks again for reading. I’m really enjoying writing and posting things here, so I hope you’re enjoying reading them. I’ve made a short list of some more trailers that I’d like to share/discuss with you all, but I am about to go to bed, so you should expect those tomorrow. Before I turn in, though, I have a request.
I will soon be playing piano and singing at my sister’s engagement party/reception. I don’t normally play the sort of cheesy love song music that one would expect at weddings, so I made a list of songs that would be good for me to learn for the event. I had the list typed up, but my hard drive crashed and the last time I had backed up my data was before I made up the list, so it’s all gone now. I remade the list as well as I could, and I won’t type that all out here, but I was hoping you all could help me. I’m looking for both conventional/cheesy love songs as well as some alternative songs that would still be appropriate. Here are the songs I will be playing for sure:
- ”The Luckiest,” Ben Folds
- “At Last,” Etta James
- “What A Wonderful World,” Louis Armstrong
- “Come Away With Me,” Norah Jones
- “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?” which you can see the video for here
- “But Beautiful,” Johnny Burke and Jimmy Van Heusen
- “Ice Cream,” Sarah McLachlan
