LD's Guide to Japan

Hello and welcome!  Whatever the reason is that you’re here, I’m glad you made it.

My name is Lawrence Denes.  I live in Saint Louis, Missouri, in the good ol’ U.S. of A.  I am a musician, and until very recently I mainly played for my own personal satisfaction and didn’t make a huge effort to put myself out there in the world.  I have, however, fully realized just how much I love music, and so am spending much more time involved with it.  Which means I’m also making more of an effort to share it with others.  This tumblog that you are looking at right now is one that I used in the past to simply share random thoughts, ideas, pictures, or things I saw around the web that I liked.  I stopped using it for a while, but now I’m going to start it up again.  I will still use it to share thoughts, etc., in the same manner as before, but in addition, I am also going to use this to promote my own music and any other projects that I have.

I recently started making little videos of myself and posting them on YouTube, and I really enjoy it.  So I will post those here as I make them (expect the first 3, which are already made, to be posted in the very near future).

In addition to music, I also have a tremendous interest in—and love for—film, and am pursuing a career in film production.  As such, I spend much of my time watching movies, following film news online, etc., and I will be posting news items that interest me here, as well as movie reviews, and more.  I am relatively new to this, so it may be slow going at first, but as I go further and further and come up with more ideas, I think things will pick up rather quickly, and it should be real fun.  Thank you so much for visiting!  I hope you’ll come back soon!  I would also really appreciate you visiting my pages on MySpace, facebook, and/or YouTube (links can be found on the right side of this page), and adding me as a friend if you like what you hear.
