When I arrived in Kurobe, my predecessor had left (what was to be) my new apartment in quite a state. Maybe being incredibly messy and cluttered worked for her, but it certainly does NOT work for me. I had quite a cleaning job to do before I could feel comfortable in my new home. It was a little irritating, but it also felt good to really clean the place and make it my own.
