LD's Guide to Japan

I’m really proud of myself and I want to share this happy moment with you, even if you don’t care

Some of you really may not care about this, but I just feel like I have to talk about it.  I haven’t really been in shape in probably 15 years (yeah, not since I was 10).  I went back to my usual my usual Monday night soccer group tonight, after taking a hiatus last week because my legs were hurting from jogging.   Tonight, however, I was feeling good and decided to go back, and I can’t believe how the usual fatigue I feel after those games is TOTALLY gone!  I’m just in complete awe of myself at how far I’ve come in only 2 weeks of jogging and eating right.  I was able to play as hard as I ever have tonight, and it tired me out, but it didn’t leave me feeling completely drained like it usually would.  It felt like a nice, real, healthy workout instead of the usual play-til-I-drop (and that didn’t used to take very long) kinda feel I would get from soccer.  It’s an unbelievably rewarding thing.  Now I understand how the people on the Biggest Loser can get so incredibly emotional about losing weight and getting fit—and I’ve only done a minor fraction of what they do.

By the way, if you want an update: I weighed precisely 82kg when I came back from my vacation (August 19th), and today I weigh 79.5kg.

I also got some really nice running shoes (nike air pegasus) over the weekend, which I used for the first time this morning and they made a huge difference.

Anyways, things are going well.  That’s all.  Love you guys!
